The Festival Gallery at #1 Village Square, Waitsfield hosts an exciting new show titled PICTURING VERMONT AND NEW ENGLAND from April 15 to May 15.
The show highlights the work of watercolorist Gary Eckhart and photographer Roarke Sharlow of Moosewalk Studios in Warren. “New England and Vermont are rich in scenic beauty with rustic barns, covered bridges, scenic corridors and sugar houses. With our work, we aim to capture this rural beauty and architectural heritage and picture it in a way that others will look at it with a new vision,” says Eckhart.
The two artists are well known throughout the area — Eckhart for his exquisite, naturalistic watercolors and Sharlow for his sensitive photographic images, many of which are rendered with alternative photographic techniques. The two artists are featured in private and corporate collections in North America, South America, and Europe.
Interior Design by The Collection accessorizes the show illustrating how the artwork complements a home setting.
The exhibit opens with a public reception on Friday, April 17 from 5 to 7 PM. The Festival Gallery is an integral part of the Vermont Festival of the Arts office at #1 Village Square (near Mehuron’s) in Waitsfield. The Gallery is open midweek during Festival of the Arts business hours, and at other times by chance or by appointment. For more information contact the Festival Gallery office at 802.496.6682.
