Moosewalk on Garden Tour

by Gary Eckhart on August 10, 2009

The gardens and forested area surrounding Moosewalk welcomed more than 50 visitors this past Friday, August 7, as part of the ART IN THE GARDEN tour conducted by the Vermont Festival of the Arts. Visitors started the tour with a short walk up the wooded path where they viewed evergreens, beech, silver and yellow birch and a wide variety of maple trees. On the forest floor they found six varieties of ferns and five species of ground pine. The more than 35 varieties of day lilies and a wide selection of perennials were in full bloom. Tours of the studios and gallery were also included in the visit. Moosewalk was one of six garden spots on the tour.

The tour repeats again this Thursday, August 13, and includes an outstanding lunch at Timbers Restaurant at Sugarbush. A few tickets are still available and reservations can be made by calling 802.583.2224.
