After many months of planning and preparation, construction has started on what will become a larger, more efficient and totally renovated Moosewalk Studios and Gallery. The studios and gallery have grown to the point where the original space can no longer accommodate the amount of work that needs to be displayed. The plans call for an additional 12 feet of display wall, additional lighting, a wood floor and tile entry way. Ward Smyth of Turtle Creek Builders (Turtle Creek built the original house) has been consulting on the project and will supervise the construction. The new gallery is expected to be ready for the annual, statewide Vermont Open Studios over Memorial Day Weekend. Meanwhile, the gallery is still open for business.
Weekly updates with photos of the construction will be posted at this location. Keep coming back to follow the progress.
